We’ve sourced and blended all of the unique flavour ingredients to make our authentic Baked Pasta with Sausage & Kale. We bring these all together in a recipe kit, which consists of 3 flavour pots; a Chilli & Fennel Mix pot, a Smoked Salt & Chive pot and a Garlic Vegetable Stock pot. Simply follow our recipe, adding a few items from your fridge, to cook this delicious Baked Pasta with Sausage & Kale in just 30 minutes.

Our 30 minute recipe

  • 1.

    Cook the pasta

    Heat the oven to 200C/ fan 180C/ gas 6 and boil the kettle. 

    Cook the pasta following pack instructions, reserving 2 tbsps cooking water before draining.

  • 2.

    Fry the sausages

    Heat some oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry the sausages for 5 mins, or until brown. Remove and keep aside. 

    Add the red onion and fry for 5 mins

    Add a knob of butter and the CHILLI & FENNEL MIX and stir well.  

    Mix in the SMOKED SALT & CHIVE pot and the passata.

    Add the GARLIC VEGETABLE STOCK pot with 120ml of boiling water and mix well. 

  • 3.

    Add the kale and ricotta

    Add the kale to the sauce and bring it to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3 mins, stirring often. 

    Return the sausages to the pan then add the pasta and 2 tbsps of ricotta. Stir well.  (Add 1-2 tbsps of pasta cooking water to the pan if the sauce looks dry.) 

  • 4.

    Finishing touches

    Tip the pasta mixture into a baking dish and top with little dots of ricotta here and there. 

    Grate cheese on top and bake in the oven for 10 mins, then serve with salad on the side (optional).

Lovely and reheats well. Makes absolutely loads... Definitely feeds 3 if not 4. Would have again and again. Would be a difficult dish to replicate with all the flavours so definitely worth having a kit.

This was nice, a tad fennelly for me but nice. I swapped the kale with chopped Brussels Sprouts as I don’t like kale and I couldn’t get ricotta so I used mascarpone cheese. I used beef stock instead and I topped with three cheeses: cheddar, mozzarella and Parmesan.

After reading the reviews I substituted spinach for kale and baked the sausages in the oven for 20 minutes before adding them to everything else. The result was very tasty and enough leftovers (after serving two) for another meal!

Personally I think this would have been better if the I had skinned the sausages and made more of a ragu. I also think the kale needed slightly more cooking as I found it still a bit tough. I would cook this again though
