Our flavour pots offer a tangy-ness with flavours of tomato, ginger, garlic, chilli and clove. A garnish of mustard seeds and a touch of star anise finish the dish and it’s all married together by a creamy coconut milk. Just close your eyes and pretend you’re on the warm beaches of Goa!

We bring these all together in a recipe kit, which consists of 3 flavour pots; a Goan Paste pot, a Coconut Paste pot and a Spice Blend pot. Simply follow our recipe, adding a few items from your fridge, to cook this delicious Goan Curry in just 20 minutes.

Our 20 minute recipe

  • 1.

    Cook the rice according to pack instructions. Meanwhile start the curry.

  • 2.

    Heat a little oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and fry for 2 mins. Add the tomatoes and the Goan Paste. Stir for 2-3 mins to soften the onion and tomatoes. If you're making this with chicken, add it to the pan now and stir-fry for 3-4 mins, then continue with step 3.

    Add the Coconut Paste and the coconut milk to the pan and gently bring to the boil. Then turn down the heat and simmer for about 5-7 mins until the sauce has thickened slightly. Stir in the Spice Blend and then carefully add the cod (if using). Let the curry simmer for 3-4 mins, or until everything is cooked through.

  • 4.

    Serve the rice in bowls and ladle the Goan curry over the top with a sprinkle of coriander and a squeeze of lime juice (if using). Tip: Serve with plain yoghurt alongside for those who might find the curry spicy!
