Indian Spiced Lamb Burgers4.4/5 (BASED ON 845 reviews)
We’re taking the much loved burger concept a step further by giving it an Indian makeover. We're taking the sweet, sticky red onion relish of the west and spicing it up with cumin, coriander and ginger while keeping its classic balsamic glaze character. This is a great topping for our Indian masala spiced burger, which is seasoned with a North Indian spice blend with flecks of hot lime pickle. This wouldn’t be an Indian style burger without some spicy potato wedges on the side!
Cook our delicious Indian Spiced Lamb Burgers in just Minutes
We’ve sourced and blended all of the unique flavour ingredients to make our authentic Indian Spiced Lamb Burgers. We bring these all together in a recipe kit, which consists of 3 flavour pots; a Masala Burger Seasoning pot, a Red Onion Chutney pot and a Bombay Potato Wedge Mix pot. Simply follow our recipe, adding a few items from your fridge, to cook this delicious Indian Spiced Lamb Burgers in just 25 minutes.
How Our Recipes Kits Work
We provide flavour ingredients:
- Masala Burger Seasoning
- Red Onion Chutney
- Bombay Potato Wedge Mix
Your shopping list:
- lamb mince (or beef mince if preferred)
- brioche buns
- large red onion
- new potatoes
- bag of salad(optional)
- Greek yoghurt (for dipping)(optional)
Our 25 minute recipe
First, heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Mix the Masala Burger Seasoning into the lamb mince then divide the mince into quarters and shape each quarter into a burger shape. Put them on a plate in the fridge to firm up a little while you do step 2.
Toss the potatoes with a little oil and the Bombay Potato Wedge Mix on a baking tray, then cook in the oven for 25 mins.
Heat a little oil in a pan over medium-low heat and add the onion. Leave it to gently cook for 8 mins.
Heat a little oil in a frying pan over medium heat and then start to fry the burgers for about 4-5 mins on each side. Then put them on a tray in the oven for 5 more mins or until fully cooked. Return to the red onion which should be soft and starting to brown a little. Now add the Red Onion Chutney and 1 tbsp water and stir well for 2 mins.
Halve the buns and put them into the oven for 2 mins before you're ready to eat. Serve the burgers in the buns with your red onion relish on top. Serve with your side salad (if having) and your spicy potato wedges and a dollop of yoghurt for dipping.

The onion relish was yum and the spicy potatoes were tasty, but the lamb burgers were disappointing

350g of lamb doesn't match up to the average tray of lamb at the supermarket which is 500g. This means either using 500g and the lamb not being as flavoursome or having 150g of waste or spare. I mean, what are you supposed to do with 150g of spare lamb?

Very tasty - however potato wedges need to be cooked for about 10 mins longer than stated on instructions or parboiled beforehand.

I used beef and all the ingredients were nice. The red onion relish needed to be runnier but apart from that, it was tasty

I'm not a big fan of Indian food but as I love burgers I'd thought I'd give these a try and I was not disappointed, they were delicious! I actually split this into 2 meals, the burgers I served with regular fries and then had the potatoes with a salad the following day.. 2 fabulous meals for the of 1! I will definitely have this one again, very tasty!

We loved this recipe, we only made two burgers, used less mince and the flavours were great. Potatoes were cut up small so cooked okay. Will order this again.
