An exciting dish from the the faraway, volcanic island of Bali, Indonesia. We’ve tried over 10 different blends of Indonesian inspired pastes and have finally agreed on this one! Our fragrant paste offers a flavour explosion of galangal, kaffir lime leaf, coconut and many more authentic ingredients. No pounding and grinding necessary it’s all ready to simply cook!
Cook our delicious Balinese Curry in just Minutes
We’ve sourced and blended all of the unique flavour ingredients to make our authentic Balinese Curry. We bring these all together in a recipe kit, which consists of 3 flavour pots; a Balinese Paste pot, a Balinese Garnish pot and a Garlic Coconut Paste pot. Simply follow our recipe, adding a few items from your fridge, to cook this delicious Balinese Curry in just 20 minutes.

- light coconut milk
- small onion
- Basmati rice
- baby corn
- green beans
- cashew nuts(optional)
Our 20 minute recipe
Boil the potatoes (optional)
If you’re having potatoes in the curry, boil them in a pan of water until tender, then drain and keep aside. Meanwhile, start the curry.
Start the curry base
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a saucepan over medium heat and add the onion. Fry gently for 2-3 mins.
Turn the heat up, then add the GARLIC COCONUT PASTE and stir quickly through.
Add the Balinese flavours
Add the BALINESE PASTE to the pan and stir well and then add 1 tbsp of the thick part of the coconut milk.
Mix well to make a paste and stir-fry for 1 min. Then add the rest of the coconut milk.
Bring to a gentle boil and then add the green beans.
Sprinkle in the BALINESE GARNISH and let the curry simmer for 3 mins.
Meanwhile heat up your parathas naan breads according to pack instructions.
Add the baby corn and the cooked potatoes (if having) and let the curry cook for 2 mins then turn off the heat.
Top the curry with the chopped cashew nuts (if having) and serve with the parathas/naan breads

Too loose for us, much prefer a slightly drier curry, especially as we are not bread people. A little spicy for the boy so he had yoghurt with his too.

The only slight problem was that the app had slightly different ingredients than the card. It didn’t matter as I was using the app so it turned out well.

YUM. Quick, easy and satisfying. I added extra veggies as the sauce allowed this and cooked it for longer as the corn needed it. My fave so far.
