Our 20 minute recipe

  • 1.

To make the Bibimbap sauce mix the Gochujang Paste with 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp water, 1 tbsp sesame seeds, 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp vinegar. Set aside till needed.

  • 2.

To make your rice pour 300ml of boiling water into a lidded saucepan followed by the Miso Stock. Stir in the paste and then add the rice. Mix gently and bring to the boil. Then turn down to a low heat, cover with a lid and cook for 15 mins.

  • 3.

Heat 2 tbsps of olive oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Add the Soy & Red Miso Sauce and the beef mince and stir-fry for 3-5 mins until the mince is cooked. Tip into a bowl and keep warm.

  • 4.

In the same pan stir-fry the carrots, spinach, beansprouts and any other vegetables (if using) for 3-4 mins. Cook them separately for presentation if you like, or all together! Then place in a warm bowl ready to be served. In the same pan, fry the 2 eggs, keeping the yolks runny.

  • 5.

Finally, divide the rice into 2 large bowls or plates and add the meat, assorted vegetables, egg and the Bibimbap sauce on top of the rice. Mix all the ingredients well in the bowl and get stuck in!

Flavour was beautiful and large portions. Easy to make. Can’t wait to have it again

Steven - Jul 12, 2018

Family favourite

KAY - Jul 03, 2018

Loved it!

Luke - Jul 02, 2018

Really enjoyed it. Next time will bulk out the sauce though. Need lots more of it.

Chris - Jun 28, 2018

It is quite a lot of effort compared with other Simpy Cook recipes. It really stood out to me (having used SImply Cook for over 6 months) as requiring more effort, although it is great for using up leftovers and it tastes great as well.

Ciara - Jun 25, 2018

My absolute favourite Simply Cook recipe so far! Top of the list to make again, it tasted so authentically "street-food" :D

Maria - Jun 20, 2018

Mince was bland

Kirsten - Jun 12, 2018

Really enjoyed the different flavours and textures but only found the first bit I'd prepared when I was clearing up after the meal - doh!

Jonathan - Jun 05, 2018

Did it with quorn mince to make it veggie. Went down well.

Harry - Jun 05, 2018

Liked it

Natalie - May 28, 2018

I chopped chicken breast into small pieces instead of using beef mince. I also substituted all of the indIvidual veg for a packet of fresh store bought stir fry veg mix. Was lovely!

katie - May 24, 2018

Wouldn't recommend, didn't feel like any of the flavours went with the ingredients. Far more other recipes that taste delish

katie - May 24, 2018

Wouldn't recommend, the beef ended up really dry and didn't feel like anything went with eachother. Compared to the other recipes this doesn't compare

Jane - May 22, 2018

Dry and weird tasting. Won’t have again.

Derek - May 16, 2018

Unusual but very tasty.

Matthew - May 14, 2018

Much more explanation on cooking required. Need more oil to stir fry veg.

Abi - May 11, 2018

Deliscious!

Vicki - May 05, 2018

Bland with no real texture or flavour

Anna - May 04, 2018

Excellent just the right side of spices. Easy to prepare

Georgina - Apr 28, 2018

Delicious and something so different from what we normally have. I adding a little more mushroom soy to the meet and it tasted a lot more complex... Which I like.

Gillian - Apr 23, 2018

Delicious!

Jennifer - Apr 23, 2018

Wasn’t that bothered about this one.. not enough flavour compared to other dishes.

Dominique - Apr 22, 2018

Never had anything like this before...and delicious!

Charlotte - Apr 20, 2018

Easy enough to make but thought it would be tastier.. was a bit bland.

Lydia - Apr 19, 2018

A little on the hot side for a 1/3 chilli rating

Abi - Apr 15, 2018

Excellent!

Rachel - Apr 12, 2018

Unusual sort of dish, but I liked it. I didn't bother with doing all the veg separately, just chucked everything in together and didn't get round to cooking an egg for the top either, but the result was very more-ish.

Ty - Apr 10, 2018

rice needs cooking a lot earlier than rest of dish. But flavours are lovely

Sheryl - Apr 08, 2018

A lovely meal

Phillip - Apr 07, 2018

Not a favourite for either my wife or myself - just didn't 'do it' for us as others we have tried - would not want this in any selection box in the future so hope you can arrange. Many thanks

Sheryl - Mar 29, 2018

Lovely a favourite

Juliet - Mar 19, 2018

Not my favourite though my husband loved it. I would make it again.

Used too many pans!

Steven - Mar 15, 2018

Gorgeous ! Totally suprised at how delicious this was especially after mixing it all up

Tracy - Mar 13, 2018

Was really nice, had its distinct flavour whereas those from a take away seem beyond bland

Kathryn - Mar 12, 2018

A very unusual dish & one I’d never normally try. It was tasty & strangely the ingredients do work well together. It wasn’t as filling as the other dishes, so might be better as a lunch. Glad I tried it though!

Sarah - Mar 08, 2018

different but tasty

Kim - Mar 05, 2018
