Our 25 minute recipe

  • 1.

    Marinate the pork

    Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.

Use a knife to make 4 or 5 shallow slashes along the pork fillet to help it cook evenly.

Mix the HOI SIN SAUCE and the BLACK BEAN PASTE together in a bowl and marinate the pork in the mixture, getting it right into the cuts, then put on a tray and cook in the oven for 20 mins.

  • 2.

    Meanwhile, make some rice

Cook the rice as per packet instructions.

  • 3.

    Fry the veg

About 5 mins before the rice and pork are ready, heat a little oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the garlic (if having) for 30 secs.

Add most of the spring onions (keep some back for garnish) and the pak choi and stir fry for 3-4 mins.

Take the pan off the heat and stir through the SOY & RED MISO SAUCE.

  • 4.

    Serve!

Slice the pork into wide slices, then serve with the rice and veg and sprinkle with some spring onions.

Flavoursome but to dry.

Stacy - Feb 12, 2019

Was good flavours but quiet dry and rice could of been left out.

Leanne - Feb 12, 2019

Tasted okay, but dish was very dry overall.

Nicola - Feb 09, 2019

Absolutely gorgeous ????

Rachel - Feb 07, 2019

Enjoyed this one, used a flavoured microwave rice as I think boiled rice would have been a bit plain with this.

Sarah - Feb 02, 2019

I found the flavour too strong, not to my taste

hannah - Jan 30, 2019

Nice felt healthy but still good

Emma - Jan 28, 2019

The pork was lovely but the rice was very plain and not enough cooking juices from the pork to use as sauce. I put some soy sauce, sweet chilli dipping sauce and sesame oil through the rice, sprinkled everything with toasted sesame seeds and it was delicious.

Karen - Jan 26, 2019

Excellent great flavours.

Marian - Jan 25, 2019

Dom loved it

Jan - Jan 22, 2019

Andrea - Jan 22, 2019

Really easy to make and really tasty

Tina - Jan 22, 2019

Unexciting. Just doesn't have the lovely flavours I've become used to from simply Cook.

Nadia - Jan 21, 2019

Very tasty! The garlic is well worth adding in the pak choi and I used coconut and chilli rice which went really well with this!

Kelly - Jan 20, 2019

Very tasty but a little dry. Needs more of a sauce.

Kirsty - Jan 15, 2019

I enjoyed this, hubby didn’t. Enjoyable but could do with a bit more flavour

Julie - Jan 14, 2019

It was ok but rice was tasteless

Denise - Jan 13, 2019

Repeat order, love it.

Angelina - Jan 13, 2019

The pork was tasty with the pak Choi, rice was a bit bland though

Clare - Jan 09, 2019

The sauces smelt lovely but didn't taste of anything on the pork and couldn't taste anything in the veg. Very disappointing.

Charis - Jan 08, 2019

The marinade for the pork was too salty, I preferred the sauce for the veg. The meal was quite dry.

Melissa - Jan 06, 2019

Super delish with tons of flavours

Kathryn - Jan 03, 2019

Too bland

Keren - Jan 03, 2019

The pork was yummy but I found the Pak choi a little bland.

Rachael - Dec 31, 2018

The pork was nice. I think it benefited from resting for a few minutes as lots of lovely juices afterwards. I’m not sure the sauce for the pak Choi was necessary I think garlic and ginger would be enough.

Denise - Dec 20, 2018

Delicious and so easy. I’m not a fan of pork but thus tenderloin comes out really tender.

Dean - Dec 19, 2018

Delicious. I would add an optional extra of cashew nuts to the pak Choi for extra crunch

Branwen - Dec 12, 2018

Our favourite

leeann - Dec 07, 2018

Sharon - Dec 05, 2018

Very tasty will get again

Hayley - Nov 20, 2018

That was a really lovely dinner x

Tracy - Nov 20, 2018

Excellent

Charlotte - Nov 17, 2018

I eat Char Siu BBQ Pork when I go to China Town and this wasn’t anywhere close so was rather disappointed. I cannot stand black bean and wish I would of read the recipe before adding it to my box as I wouldn’t of passed. Would be happy to try again if the recipe was changed as Char Siu BBQ Park is a favourite of mine. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed from any recipes so far.

Hannah - Nov 15, 2018

This dish isn’t very saucy but it’s nice, very enjoyable.

Darren - Nov 15, 2018

The pork and the pak choi was to die for, maybe more sauce required for the pak Choi. Wasn’t over keen with having rice with the dish seemed very bland.

Vicki - Nov 15, 2018

Gorgeous!

Caroline - Nov 13, 2018

I like more sauce so this wasn’t for me.

Graeme - Nov 11, 2018

Very bland, very tasteless, very watery. This was a bit of a disappointment but it’s cool I’ll just stick to the Vietnamese Pork fillet, which is amazingly good, from now on

Kathryn - Nov 10, 2018

After reading the reviews about the pork being dry I did mine in the slow cooker. Ended up a bit like pulled pork but was quite nice. Overall an ok dish but don't think I'd order again

Gillian - Nov 07, 2018

Lovely marinade to this pork dish. Tasty pal choi too

Samantha - Nov 06, 2018

One of my favourites! ????

Catherine - Nov 03, 2018

Pork was tasty, rice was a bit bland.

Jane - Nov 02, 2018

Was ok the rice could have done with a stock.

Plum - Oct 31, 2018

Disappointing but we all enjoyed it. Found it quite bland and unauthentic.
