This aromatic curry is inspired by the classic curry of Goa, which was in turn inspired by the Portuguese. Our flavour pots offer the crucial tangy-ness with flavours of sweet tomato along with ginger, garlic, chilli and clove. A garnish of mustard seeds and star anise finishes the dish and it’s all married together by a sweet and creamy coconut milk. Just close your eyes and pretend you’re on the warm beaches of Goa!.

We bring these all together in a recipe kit, which consists of 3 flavour pots; a Goan Paste pot, a Coconut Paste pot and a Spice Blend pot. Simply follow our recipe, adding a few items from your fridge, to cook this delicious Goan Cauliflower Curry in just 20 minutes.

Our 20 minute recipe
Cook the rice!
Cook the rice as per pack instructions!
Create the curry bas
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan over medium-high heat and add the onion, tomato and cook for 3 mins.
Stir in the GOAN PASTE and cook for 2 mins.
Stir in the COCONUT PASTE and then pour in the coconut milk. Mix well and gently bring to the boil.
Add the vegetables
Add the cauliflower, chickpeas and 100ml water to the pan, bring it back to the boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for 8 mins, or until the cauliflower is tender.
Stir the SPICE BLEND into the curry along with the pieces of pineapple (if using). Let it cook for 2 more mins.
Serve the curry over your rice with a squeeze of lime (if using).

Really tasty! I read previous reviews about the curry being too watery so I added the coconut milk but no water. It was really nice and the pineapple was surprisingly nice.

The cauliflower and chickpeas went really well together, but we could have done with more sauce. If we had it again, we would use all of the 400 ml tin of coconut milk, not just 200 ml.

Abserlutely delicious, I cut up some frozen fish and added it to some frozen brocli and coliflower and it was amazing. I wish you sold the spices in bulk so I can buy them for my favourite recipies
