Our 20 minute recipe

  1. Make the rice

Bring 500ml of water to the boil in a lidded saucepan then stir in the BEEF STOCK.

Add the rice, bring it back to the boil, turn the heat down to low, cover with a lid, and cook for 10-12 mins.

  2. Fry the mince

Heat a little oil in a large pan over high heat, then add the onion and fry for 3-4 mins.

Add red peppers and fry for 2 mins.

Add the SMOKY CHILLI BLEND and cook for 1 min.

Add the beef mince and cook for 5 mins, or until the beef has browned nicely.

  3. Add the beans and chipotle paste

Add the baked beans and the CHIPOTLE PASTE and stir well. Then reduce the heat to medium and let it cook for 10 mins.

  4. Serve!

Serve the chilli over the rice with some soured cream on the side.

This is the simplest meal we have done on here, and one of the best. Not spicy, nice deep flavour, the kids (5 and 6) loved it. A great, simple, midweek meal which was really tasty,

Used beef pieces, added kidney beans too and put in pressure cooker. More pulses, less meat - all the taste! Managed to get extra portions that way for lunch the next day.

As a variant to chilli from a jar this was nice and the kids didn't complain, which is always nice!
