Pretty bland. Nothing special flavour wise. Used Mexican bean mix. Would not use baked beans!

Rachel - Feb 09, 2019

Baked beans made it too sweet. Would use kidney beans as an alternative.

Caitlin - Feb 08, 2019

A bit bland, ended up adding a lot to it to give it more flavour.

Great flavour, easy quick meal

Marta - Feb 03, 2019

We don't eat beef, so I used turkey mince instead and also swapped baked beans for kidney beans - worked a treat!

Julie - Feb 02, 2019

Tasty and smokey, nice change from my own recipe.

Holly - Feb 01, 2019

Tasty, but not chilli like I expected. There is no spice in this dish so perfect for kids but for those who want a traditional spicy chilli I’d give this one a miss.

Julia - Jan 30, 2019

Not keen on the beans

James - Jan 17, 2019

Just a bit basic compared to your normal recipes. Not the usual depth of flavor

Howard - Jan 17, 2019

NIce smoky heat. Not sure about the baked beans, think kidney beans would work better personally

Certainly different with baked beans, but still really tasty and very filling

Baked beans were far too sweet even adding salt did not help. Will stick to kidney beans.

Mrs sharon - Jan 13, 2019

Not bad for a quick midweek meal. Baked beans make for a simple twist. Just a touch on the bland side for my taste unfortunately.

Not for us. Really didn’t like the smoky taste. Kids hated it. Overall bland and very disappointing

Adrian - Dec 09, 2018

Super easy to make! I added hot chilli powder as this isn’t the spiciest of dishes but the smokiness of the flavour is gorgeous

Beauleiu - Dec 08, 2018

Rennie - Dec 05, 2018

Excellent smokey taste, loved it!!!

Helen - Dec 02, 2018

Danny - Dec 01, 2018

Not very spicy, needed a bit of something to liven it up

Laura - Nov 29, 2018

Really tasty meal. I followed some reviewers advice & added kidney beans rather than baked, & also added more chilli powder. I also recommend adding grated cheddar cheese to the finished fish and having a big dollop of sour cream on the side, as both flavours added a lovely depth to the dish. Boiling the rice in the beef stock was another lovely touch.

Melissa - Nov 27, 2018

Not very nice at all.

Beauleiu - Nov 25, 2018

The best yet

Maggie - Nov 15, 2018

I use red kidney beans! Turns out perfect every time ???????????? also to switch it up I serve it on a jacket potato ????

mohit - Nov 14, 2018

Added kidney beans instead of baked beans and add more chilli to make it spicier. Loved it. Ordering it again. Rice was cooked perfectly. It’s all about timing and right amount of water.
