Pretty bland. Nothing special flavour wise. Used Mexican bean mix. Would not use baked beans!
Rachel - Feb 09, 2019
Baked beans made it too sweet. Would use kidney beans as an alternative.
Caitlin - Feb 08, 2019
A bit bland, ended up adding a lot to it to give it more flavour.

We don't eat beef, so I used turkey mince instead and also swapped baked beans for kidney beans - worked a treat!

Tasty and smokey, nice change from my own recipe.
Holly - Feb 01, 2019
Tasty, but not chilli like I expected. There is no spice in this dish so perfect for kids but for those who want a traditional spicy chilli I’d give this one a miss.

NIce smoky heat. Not sure about the baked beans, think kidney beans would work better personally

Not bad for a quick midweek meal. Baked beans make for a simple twist. Just a touch on the bland side for my taste unfortunately.

Super easy to make! I added hot chilli powder as this isn’t the spiciest of dishes but the smokiness of the flavour is gorgeous

Laura - Nov 29, 2018
Really tasty meal. I followed some reviewers advice & added kidney beans rather than baked, & also added more chilli powder. I also recommend adding grated cheddar cheese to the finished fish and having a big dollop of sour cream on the side, as both flavours added a lovely depth to the dish. Boiling the rice in the beef stock was another lovely touch.

Added kidney beans instead of baked beans and add more chilli to make it spicier. Loved it. Ordering it again. Rice was cooked perfectly. It’s all about timing and right amount of water.
