Folded flour tortillas are filled with cumin and chipotle spiced beef and black beans, oozing with melted cheese. Griddled until crispy, these quesadillas are best when paired with the traditionally zingy 'pico de gallo' salsa and dipped into a cooling Mexican BBQ style soured cream. A family favourite taken to another level by the classic sides, this is an all-round flavour sensation of different tastes and textures.

Cook our delicious Mexican Beef Quesadilla in just Minutes

We’ve sourced and blended all of the unique flavour ingredients to make our authentic Mexican Beef Quesadilla. We bring these all together in a recipe kit, which consists of 3 flavour pots; a Quesadilla Paste pot, a Pico de Gallo Salsa pot and a Mexican BBQ Sauce pot. Simply follow our recipe, adding a few items from your fridge, to cook this delicious Mexican Beef Quesadilla in just 30 minutes.

How Our Recipes Kits Work

We provide flavour ingredients:

  • Quesadilla Paste
  • Pico de Gallo Salsa
  • Mexican BBQ Sauce

Your shopping list:

lean beef mince
large red onion
tortillas (GF if necessary)
Cheddar cheese
soured cream
tin black beans (or kidney beans)(optional)

Our 30 minute recipe

  • 1.

    Cook the filling

    Heat the oven to 160C/fan 140C/gas 3.

Fry half of the red onion in a pan with 1 tbsp oil for 3-4 mins to soften.

Turn up the heat and add the beef mince. Fry for 3-4 mins, until lightly browned.

Add the QUESADILLA PASTE and half of your chopped tomatoes and mix well. Let it cook for 5 mins.

Tip the black beans in (if using).

  • 2.

    Make your condiments

For the salsa, put the other half of the red onion into a bowl along with the rest of your chopped tomatoes. Mix in the PICO DE GALLO SALSA and keep aside.

For the dipping sauce, stir the MEXICAN BBQ SAUCE into the soured cream and keep aside.

  • 3.

    Cook the quesadillas

Heat a little oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Place a tortilla in the pan and, on one half of the tortilla, layer grated cheese, then spread a spoonful of beef mince on top, ( add some salsa, if desired) then another layer of grated cheese.

Fold the empty side of the tortilla over to make a half-moon shape and flatten it down with a spatula.

Cook until lightly golden and crisp then flip it and cook the other side for 2 mins. Then place in the oven on a tray to keep warm while you cook the others.

  • 4.

To serve, cut the quesadillas into wedges and serve with salsa, the dipping sauce and guacamole (if having).

Nadina - Oct 27, 2019

Absolutely delicious, especially the dipping sauce!

Joanne - Oct 25, 2019

Lovely, nice nit of heat but not too hot for me. Older kids not massive fans but ate it with little complaint. Can get away with less meat if you add the beans. Quirte a lot of salsa and cream leftover though.

durreena - Oct 19, 2019

Took alot longer to do than suggested it would. Def have again though.

Vicki - Oct 11, 2019

Not as spicy or flavoursome as we hoped. Not one we would rush back to buy again.

Sherrell - Oct 10, 2019

Went down like a storm! Serve mine with a leaf salad and homemade coleslaw

Fiona - Oct 06, 2019

Really easy and good flavours. Even my daughter loved it and she's so so picky. I can even adapt it for my vegan son and use meat free mince, vegan cheese and vegan mayo instead of soured cream.

MR C G - Sep 30, 2019

Very tasty and nice. Turning the tortillas is a pain in the head... use a plate to turn them, that works fine.

This was super tasty and different, but realistically only part of the meal I’d say! We served it with another option and salad to make a full meal.
