Nyonya cuisine is a fusion of Malaysian, Chinese, and Indonesian foods offering a tasty combination of flavours that these nations have to offer. Our signature Garlic Coconut Paste provides the delicious base notes for pan-frying the chicken before adding our complex Nyonya Paste. Galangal, chilli, coriander and kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass are but few of th ingredients that are pounded together to create the paste, adding many levels of flavour to this dish. Our favourite chilli, coriander and coconut flake garnish tops this dish off with a little sweetness and heat.

Our 20 minute recipe
Boil the potatoes (and rice)
Bring a pot of water to the boil and par-boil the potatoes for 5 mins.
If you’re making rice too, cook according to packet instructions.
Meanwhile, fry the chicken
Heat a little oil in a large pan over medium heat and fry the chicken for 2 mins.
Add the GARLIC & COCONUT and cook for 2 more mins.
Add the NYONYA PASTE, mix well and cook for 2 more mins.
Add the coconut milk
Drain the potatoes and add them to the pan along with the coconut milk and the green beans. Let it simmer over a medium-low heat for 8 mins.
Add the NYONYA GARNISH to the pan. Stir well and let it cook for 3 more mins.
Serve the curry over rice or with naan bread on the side, with a squeeze of lime on top.

Wow really really tasty. One of the best ones yet. I don’t this with 2 chicken breast rather than thighs, if you do the same make sure you use 3.

Really yummy! Used mangetout instead of green beens and also added some creme fraiche to the sauce as a little watery for my liking. Delicious!

Not the best curry I’ve had but tasted very fresh just not to my taste. I added frozen green beans and baby corn to make 3 generous servings. I found I needed to add a tablespoon of flour to thicken the sauce as like someone else said the sauce is quite watery otherwise.
Vicki - Mar 05, 2019
Was quite nice but the sauce was far too thin and didn’t feel substantial. Tasted ok tho, maybe needs a little bit more of a kick
