The sweet red pepper sprinkle works like magic in this dish bringing the rich creamy sauce and all the ingredients together really nicely.

We bring these all together in a recipe kit, which consists of 3 flavour pots; a Wild Garlic & Rosemary pot, a Rustica Paste pot and a Red Pepper Sprinkle pot. Simply follow our recipe, adding a few items from your fridge, to cook this delicious Penne alla Rustica in just 20 minutes.

Your shopping list for 2 servings:

  • 200g penne pasta
  • 350g sweet cherry tomatoes
  • 100g Chorizo
  • 75ml single cream
  • 2Tbsp Parmesan
  • 100g frozen peas (optional)
  • butter

Our 20 minute recipe

  1. Cook the pasta

    Cook the pasta according to pack instructions.

  2. Fry the tomatoes

    Heat a frying pan over a medium heat (with no oil) and fry the chorizo for 2 mins.

    Add a knob of butter, the tomatoes and the WILD GARLIC & ROSEMARY. Mix well then cook for 2 mins.

    Stir in the RUSTICA PASTE.

  3. Make the sauce

    Add the RED PEPPER SPRINKLE to the pan.

    Pour in the cream and mix well. Let it gently bubble for 2-3 mins, stirring until the cream reduces by half.

    Add the peas (optional) and simmer for 2 more mins.

  4. Serve! 

    Drain the pasta and serve it with some grated parmesan on top.
