This vibrantly flavoured salmon rub was designed with inspiration from SC's resident Norwegian, Halvor, who introduced us to this blend of ingredients. We've paired the salmon with refreshing dill pickled cucumber and the famous Swedish “Hasselback” potatoes, named after the Hasselbacken restaurant in Stockholm, where this style of potatoes was first prepared in the 1700s.
Cook our delicious Scandi Salmon in just Minutes
We’ve sourced and blended all of the unique flavour ingredients to make our authentic Scandi Salmon. We bring these all together in a recipe kit, which consists of 3 flavour pots; a Scandi Salmon Rub pot, a Dill Pickle Mix pot and a Hasselback Potato Seasoning pot. Simply follow our recipe, adding a few items from your fridge, to cook this delicious Scandi Salmon in just 35 minutes.

Our 35 minute recipe
Prep the potatoes
Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180/gas 6.
Put a baby potato on its side and make a couple of cuts a few millimetres apart. Don't cut right through, just 3/4 of the way down. (Put it on a spoon to help stop you cutting right through).
Toss them with oil and the Hasselback Potato Seasoning on a baking tray, then roast for 20 mins.
Ribbon the cucumber
Meanwhile, peel long strips from the cucumber (discarding the skin), twisting it when you get to the seeds.
Put the Dill Pickle Mix in a bowl with 2 tsp of water and mix well.
Add the cucumber strips and beetroot slices (optional) to the bowl and toss to coat. Keep aside.
Bake the salmon
Sprinkle the Scandi Salmon Rub over the salmon fillets and press it into the tops and sides.
When the potatoes have had 20mins, give them a shake.
Put the salmon fillets on another lined baking tray and cook with the potatoes in the oven for 10 mins, or until the salmon is cooked to your liking.
Serve the salmon and potatoes with the pickled veg alongside, and a dollop of creme fraiche for dipping.

Absolutely delicious! We cooked ours with smoked salmon and it was really good. Potatoes are nice. We chose to have green veg instead of the beetroot/cucumber side and was lovely.

Hassleback potatoes totally worth the “hassle” they were lovely. The salmon was also good but the seasoning for it was a touch overpowering. I didn’t particularly see the point of the cucumber and beetroot. I also cooked green veg to accompany it for the family. Would definitely order it again :) thank you

Salmon was great, lots of flavour. Hasselback seasoning was basically sage & onion stuffing. Cucumber pickle was not liked at all. Seemed a bit pointless. However, because the salmon seasoning was so good we'll have it again.
