Spinach & Paneer Curry4.3/5 (BASED ON 4200 reviews)
This dish has been a big hit with customers to date and has surprised many who’d never tasted paneer before. In India this dish is called Palak Paneer and is traditionally very garlicky with a touch of sweetness coming through from the onion. The silky texture of the paneer makes for an interesting, creamy foil for the spicy spinach curry sauce. One of the most popular vegetarian dishes served in British Indian restaurants, this is definitely a comforting dish.

How Our Recipes Kits Work
We provide flavour ingredients:
- Garlic Paste
- Korma Paste
- Nigella Seed Blend
Your shopping list:
- paneer cheese
- single cream
- chapati bread(optional)
- plain yoghurt(optional)
Our 20 minute recipe
Fry the paneer
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large non-stick pan over high heat. When hot, fry the paneer, turning the cubes to brown each side (~ 5 mins). Then remove from the pan and keep aside.
Start the sauce
Heat a little oil in the same pan over medium-high heat and fry the onion for 3 mins.
Add the GARLIC PASTE and stir quickly.
Add the tomatoes and the KORMA PASTE and turn up the heat to help the tomatoes break down.
Reduce the heat to a simmer then stir in the cream, letting it cook for 5 mins.
Add the spinach
Add the spinach leaves and stir until the leaves have fully wilted into the curry.
Return the paneer to the pan and add half the NIGELLA SEED BLEND. Let it simmer for 3 mins.
Serve the curry and sprinkle the rest of the NIGELLA SEED BLEND on top. Serve the yoghurt and chapati bread on the side (if using).

Remarkably tasty. Didn't think I would like a creamy cheese curry, but it was really quite a lovely change from the usual chicken and not sickly. Would get again.

This is a dish I was unsure about as bith my husband and son tried a paneer dish dining out recently they did not enjoy. This was a hit my 7 year old son said it was the best dish he had tasted. The texture if the paneer was perfect as were the flavours. Another recipe I shall order again.

Guilt free comfort food! Definitely needs the chapatis but maybe not the yoghurt
Jane - Jan 31, 2019
Delicious, if a bit rich. I peeled the tomatoes and used halloumi which I dry fried until golden. Also added a fresh chilli for a bit of heat.
Emma - Jan 31, 2019

Julie - Jan 30, 2019

Emma - Jan 30, 2019
Sorry not for me
Tracy - Jan 30, 2019
Given the disappointing flavour, this did not feel good value for money. A shop bought paste would be just as tasty and significantly cheaper.
Jacqueline - Jan 30, 2019
Brian - Jan 28, 2019
Added the potatoes to this when cooking the onions, very tasty but could have done with more liquid in the curry as it became thickish.

Susan - Jan 28, 2019
Never had paneer before, it's quite like haloumi in this dish. A little too much spinach in this one for me. I'll put less in the next time :)
Sara - Jan 28, 2019
Sooo good definitely going to be trying my own version of this!!
Lukas - Jan 28, 2019
To heavy, reduce the cream
