Our 20 minute recipe

  1. Fry the pork mince

Cook the rice according to pack instructions, and keep warm.

Heat a little oil in a wok over medium heat and fry the Chilli Garlic Paste for 10 secs.

Turn the heat up a little and add the pork, breaking up the mince and frying until the mince has browned (around 8 mins).

  2. Add the Thai flavours

Add the peppers, the Thai Seasoning and 2 tsps of sugar and fry for 3 more mins.

Add the Pad Kra Prao Sauce and 150ml water to make a light broth. Stir well and reduce the heat to low and let it cook for a few more mins.

  3. Wilt the basil

Taste it, and add 1 tsp sugar if you'd like it sweeter.

Turn the heat down to low and add the basil to the wok. Stir it in so that it wilts gently.

  4. Serve!

Serve the pork over rice with a squeeze of lime.

I expected more flavor, a little bland!

Julie - 29th June 2020

A very light dish, more suited to a lunch than an evening meal. All 4 of us were left still feeling a bit hungry. It’s light & tasty, needs way more sugar than it states in the instructions but you can add that to taste easily enough. It definitely needs the chopped basil leaves because without them it’d be quite bland otherwise. Will definitely re-order though, teenagers liked it so that’s a resounding thumbs up!
